Baseball Beats Naperville North for Third Win in a Row

NAPERVILLE – It took some extra time on Tuesday, but Waubonsie Valley baseball got a leadoff walk and an Owen Roberts RBI single in the eighth inning to beat Naperville North 4-3 on Tuesday night.

The Warriors took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning before the Huskies came back with a run in the first, third and fifth inning. Roberts doubled in two runs in the first inning on his way to a 2-for-4 day. Carter King pitched 7.2 innings, and Blake Pietryk closed out the game with a strikeout for the save. Pietryk and Ryan Gustaitis also add hits for the Warriors.

The Warriors have now won three in a row. Waubonsie is back home on Thursday to host Naperville North for the final game of the three-game set. The game will be broadcast live on WVTV with first pitch at 4:30 p.m. To view the game, visit WVTV YouTube.
