Lee Tabbed as New Deputy Superintendent of IPSD 204

AURORA – The Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education announced on Monday that Director of Human Resources Dr. Louis Lee will be appointed as the new Deputy Superintendent on July 1.

Lee filling in the vacancy left by Doug Eccarius, who accepted a position as the superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 89 in Glen Ellyn.

Lee has been in the district since 2014, when he started as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. After that, Lee was the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the past three years. He will now oversee curriculum and instruction, teaching and learning, and student services in his new role.

At the May 1, 2023 Board of Education meeting, Dr. Louis Lee was appointed as the new Deputy Superintendent for District 204 effective July 1, 2023. For the past three years, Lee has served as the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. In his new role, Lee will oversee the curriculum and instruction, teaching and learning, and student services departments. 

“Dr. Lee is an exemplary educational leader who demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with people,” said IPSD 204 superintendent Dr. Adrian Talley in a press release. “He demonstrates the ability to listen to multiple perspectives and effectively collaborate in the mission of education for all students.”
